A new primary school in the Hampshire village of Botley hosted its first summer fair this year thanks to the support of local businesses.
Housebuilder Vistry Group – which includes Bovis Homes, Linden Homes and Vistry Partnerships – was among the companies to sponsor Boorley Park Primary School’s summer fair which took place on Saturday 16 July.
Vistry, which is building new properties under its Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands at Boorley Park, contributed £500 to help with the costs of the event. Proceeds from the fair will be used to purchase a new trim trail for the school playground.
Pupils and their families got to enjoy various activities including face painting and petting farm animals, as well as tucking into a barbecue and listening to live music.
Hazel Wills, co-chair of Boorley Park Primary School’s parent-teacher association, said: “I’m happy to say that our first summer fair was a great success, and it was so lovely to see the smiles on all the children’s faces.
“The support we received from our sponsors, including Vistry, was fantastic and we really appreciate their generosity. Their contributions enabled us to keep the costs down and make the event affordable for everyone.
“As a relatively new school, we don’t have as many pieces of outdoor play equipment as we would like, so we are really excited to use the proceeds from the fair to purchase a brand-new trim trail.”

Vistry Southern is currently building new properties under the Bovis Homes and Linden Homes brands at Boorley Park in Botley, off Kingsman Drive.
