A brand new house worth £235,000 will be among the prizes up for grabs at a summer fayre being held at Cholsey’s newest neighbourhood.
Residents and the public are being welcomed to a day of fun and games on Saturday July 14th to celebrate summer – whatever the weather – at Linden Homes’ superb Cholsey Meadows development.
Entrance is free and among the traditional activities, the Crack the Safe competition is offering the chance to win a two-bedroom house to whoever can solve a secret code.
Linden Homes Chiltern sales and marketing director, Simon Pendlebury, said: “It’s not been the sunniest summer so far, so we hope we can put a smile on people’s faces with our fair – smiles which will go from ear to ear if anyone is lucky enough to crack the code!

An official Olympics torch bearer will be on hand at the “Ch-olympics” arena where there will be games and races for all the family.
Other activities will include tethered hot air balloon rides, a falconry display, dog competition, and fun for the children such as Victorian swingboats and face painting. There will also be hoopla and a coconut shy plus candyfloss, a hog roast, barbecue and drinks marquee.
Cholsey Meadows is a stunning collection of two, three, four and five-bedroom houses set amid 100 acres of Grade II listed parkland.
It offers uninterrupted views across the neighbouring countryside and is set to be a flagship development of over 250 homes designed to blend seamlessly with the local community and rural setting.

The summer fair will run from 11am until 4pm. Entrance is free.
