The first house to sell at Linden Homes’ superb new development of Marley Mead, near Dorking, has been landed by a former merchant navy captain.

“As to the new house, my impressions are that the finish is very good, the design is good and the deal was rather attractive. I liked the house as soon as I looked at it. The people staffing the sales room were particularly helpful also.”
The ex-mariner is still a keen cyclist, and was speaking from his current home in a nearby Sussex town after just getting back from a ride in the rain. He joked: “Living in Britain you have to like cycling in the rain or you wouldn’t do it at all!”
