Award-winning housebuilder Linden Homes has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of Construction Director, Ian Hamilton, at its regional Essex-based branch, Linden Homes Eastern.
Bringing 27 years’ experience to his new role, Ian joins Linden Homes Eastern as the company grows its presence across Essex and South East England.
The housebuilder has just secured planning permission to build 200 new homes in Saffron Walden, and will play a part in developing Britain’s biggest new town, Northstowe, in Cambridgeshire, adding to its portfolio of pedigree sites including Langland Place in Roydon, St Clements in Bow and King Edwards in Hackney.
Ian was brought on board due to his extensive background in the property industry, having previously worked at other major housebuilders including Countryside Properties and Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties.
He secured his first director role with Bovis Homes in 2008, and has achieved the highest possible grade of membership, a fellowship, with the Chartered Institute of Builders.
Ian commented: “I was drawn to Linden Homes thanks to the company expanding its footprint in the Eastern region, and am particularly excited to oversee the progress of new developments in new target areas, such as Eastern London, Cambridgeshire and Essex alike.
“Linden Homes has given me a fantastic chance to grow within the company as the business develops in the region. Lindon Homes Eastern is fast becoming the developer of choice within the local area for staff and sub-contractors, and I’m looking forward to settling in to my new role.”
In his most recent role as Construction Director for Barratt David Wilson Eastern Counties, Ian was responsible for all activities within the construction, adoptions and customer service departments.
His new role at Linden Homes will see him take responsibility for the delivery of production and safety to the highest standards, as well as ensuring the homes are exceptionally well built.
