Half Of New Homes Now Sold At Commuter-friendly Milton Keynes Development
26 Apr 2017

Savvy home hunters have been favouring the location and benefits of buying new at Linden Homes Midlands’ Keynes development – where half the homes are already sold!

Commuter-friendly housing at Oxley Gardens led to almost a quarter of the development being snapped up from the drawing board – and the interest has continued to grow during the first few months of 2017.

Homes at the 131-development off Holden Road are selling fast – offering a superb selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties in a range of contemporary townhouse and traditional two storey designs.

And anyone debating whether to buy new over a second hand home can consider the benefits:

  • There’s a chance to save money through incentives whether you are a first time buyer or existing homeowner, through the Government-led help to buy scheme, or Linden could be your guaranteed buyer through Part Exchange if you have an existing property to sell.
  • Older homes may have more character but they also need more maintenance than new ones, like new guttering, replacement windows or extra roof insulation.
  • Energy efficiency is a major benefit. New homes are well insulated, and include double-glazing as standard, making them cheaper to run than older homes. The costs of heating a new home will be substantially lower than a comparable older one.
  • New homes offer a blank canvas. Buyers can choose kitchen units and bathroom wall tiles, subject to the build stages. A new garden means there is scope for unique landscaping to suit a customer’s individual taste.
  • Building warranty - all new homes come complete with a New Homes Building Council 10-year guarantee or similar warranty. As well as a valuation on a second hand property, most would-be purchasers would need to pay out for a homebuyer’s report - and then there is the possibility of a full structural survey on top of that!
  • New homes often have features many buyers may take for granted, including ensuite facilities and added security aspects including smoke detectors.
  • Location is a careful consideration with house builders when looking for a new site at which to build – with knock on benefits of schools, shops and other amenities close by benefit the new communities living there.

Linden Homes Midlands sales manager Tracey Gibson said: “The location of Oxley Gardens has been a major factor in contributing to its early sales success which has just continued to grow. We have reached the halfway mark in terms of sales and would urge anyone looking to buy here to act now to avoid disappointment.”

The development is perfectly placed within a stone’s throw of Milton Keynes and Bletchley and some 20 miles from Dunstable, Luton and Northampton.

It boasts excellent road access to the A5, A421 and M1 for journeys to Bedford, Oxford, Birmingham and London. Milton Keynes train station is three miles away, which offers a fastest journey time of 37 minutes into London Euston station.

Thee sales and marketing suite is open from Thursday to Monday from 10.30am until 5pm. Alternatively, contact the sales team on 01908 448570.
