Top ten housebuilder Linden Homes has announced the acquisition of land for 97 new homes in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire.
The new development located off Thorn Road, LU5, will consist of 3, 4, and 5 bedroom houses, of which will 68 private sale homes. The remaining 29 units will we be available for rent and shared ownership.
Trevor Dempsey, Managing Director at Linden Homes Midlands commented: “We are delighted to announce this acquisition in Bedfordshire. The new development will bring much needed homes to the town, and we are looking forward to the first finished units becoming available in the Spring.”
This acquisition follows Linden Homes’ recent successful planning application for its 80-home site at Barnack, near Stamford in Lincolnshire. Similarly to Houghton Regis, Linden Homes will deliver a mix of 3, 4, and 5 bedroom homes, with 56 available for private sale, and 24 for rent and shared ownership
The scheme will also feature a large area of open space to reflect the nearby Barnack Hills and Holes Site of Specific Scientific Interest (SSSI), one of Britain’s most important wildlife sites.
These two acquisitions support Linden Homes’ strategy to grow annual completions to 4,000 per annum by 2020, up from 3,250 in the full year to June 2017.
