Linden Homes Brings Collection Of Brand-new Homes To Walberton

Top 10 housebuilder, Linden Homes has received planning approval with construction since starting to provide a new community of homes for a range of buyers wishing to make the charming village of Walberton their new home. The development will be launching this month on 28th September.

Following the acquisition of the 28-acre site on Yapton Lane, Linden Homes has entered into a joint venture with Wates Developments to deliver the new collection of 175 one, two, three- and four-bedroom apartments and houses, 30% of which will be affordable housing. The site, marketed as ‘Avisford Grange’, will offer extensive open spaces, play areas, tennis courts, allotments and an orchard for all to enjoy.

Fiona Creed, Linden Homes South’s Sales and Marketing Director said “Since plans have been approved, we have been busy with the construction of the new homes which has included a very exciting archaeological dig. Some fascinating artefacts were uncovered during the excavation works that was completed by UCL’s Archaeology South East including an unusual late Iron Age/early Roman burial with a sword, apparently only the second of its type unearthed in West Sussex.

“We wanted the community to feel involved in this part of the area’s history so we enjoyed holding an open day for our neighbours at Walberton Primary School where the pupils were able to visit to see the archaeologist in action on site.”

The Help to Buy* initiative will be available, enabling home movers to secure their new property with a 5% deposit supported by a 20% equity loan from the government and 75% mortgage.
