Linden Homes Is A Green-Fingered Neighbour

When it comes to the great outdoors, nothing beats the smell of freshly-cut grass, and one Telford-based care home’s lawn area has recently been enhanced thanks to its green-fingered neighbour.

Linden Homes West Midlands – which has its ‘1779’ development of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes located next door – offered a gesture of good will in the form of brand new turf for the front of the building, which had been accidentally damaged by a visiting lorry to their site.

The developer seconded members of its site team to the facility to lay the turf to restore the front exterior appearance of the home to its original form and then further assisted the home by replacing turf to the exterior of the building which had been damaged by a cherry picker leaving the land water logged. Very quickly the new garden area took shape and was soon transformed into an area of vibrant green grass – just like it was before the damage.

Jackie Davies, Acting Home Manager at Lightmoor View Care Home (part of Coverage Care Services) in Telford, said: “We were delighted that Linden Homes was able to help out with our garden area – it has vastly improved the appearance of our home and I would like to thank the team for their hard work in making it look lovely.”

Linda Huntington, sales manager for Linden Homes West Midlands, comments: “Being new to the Lightmoor area of Telford we thought that our donation of turf and labour couldn’t be a better neighbourly gesture. Our team did a great job and we hope that visitors to the care home will now find the area once again aesthetically pleasing when driving in and when sitting in the gardens.”
