New Christmas Food Bank Collection Point In Bishop's Cleeve
19 Dec 2017

Leading housebuilder Linden Homes Western, creating the Cleeve View new homes development in Bishop’s Cleeve, is inviting local schools, businesses and residents to get involved in its work to help collect food for the North Cotswold Foodbank during the festive period and early in the new year.

The housebuilder has pledged its support this season, to help those in need. North Cotswold Foodbank collects supplies and provides three days’ emergency food and assistance to local people who are referred to them in crisis.

For those able to donate, non-perishable food can be dropped off at Cleeve View’s sales and marketing suite between 27th and 30th December or between 2nd and 7th January, ahead of the housebuilder’s team hand-delivering the gifts to the food bank in the new year. The items most in need include:

  • Long-life milk
  • Long-life fruit juice
  • Coffee
  • Packet mash potato
  • Sponge puddings
  • Tins of fish
  • Tins of meat

Sue Scholfield, sales and marketing director for Linden Homes Western, commented: "Here at Linden Homes, we are proud to be providing homes and communities within which families can enjoy the festive period – however, we are also committed to doing our bit to help those who are not afforded that luxury. There is often a drive to help charities during Christmas and so we wanted to offer some additional support just afterwards. We also thought people may have some spare items to donate to the food bank after Christmas and the time to do so.

"We would like to invite local schools, residents and businesses in Bishop’s Cleeve to work with us on this project and help us, to help those in need this year. The Bishop’s Cleeve community is one with real spirit and we are pleased to be tapping in to this to support such a worthy cause."

The sales and marketing suite at Cleeve View is open for food bank donations between 27th and 30th December or between 2nd and 7th January from 10am and 5pm. Visit Cleeve View, off Vale Road, Bishop’s Cleeve, GL52 8FJ
