New Show Home Inspires Buyers At Westfield Waterside, Earlsfield
10 Jun 2015

The show home has been unveiled at award-winning Linden Homes’ Westfield Waterside collection in Earlsfield where property-hunters are getting a taste of green living within 15 minutes by train of central London.

The stylish development of two and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom townhouses are nestled between King George’s Park and the River Wandle, creating a peaceful pocket from which to launch into the capital.

The dual-aspect show apartment makes the most of its position. Opening out from the master bedroom and living area is the biggest decked balcony ready to catch the sunrise over the River Wandle – perfect for al fresco coffee and breakfast. A second balcony, accessed from the second bedroom, surveys the green sward of the neighbouring park.

The heart of the home is the fully-fitted open plan kitchen and living/dining room, all flooded with light from full-height double-glazed windows. The master bedroom next door has its own en suite and built-in wardrobe. A bathroom, second bedroom and hall complete the property.

The show home displays the development’s inclusive high quality fixtures and fittings, including stylish LED under-lighting, Ideal Standard sanitaryware in the bathroom and en suite, plus contemporary tiled floors and carpet in the bedrooms.

The interior design was conceived by Andrew Henry, of Bristol-based Andrew Henry Interiors – and it caught the imagination of one of the buyers so much that they contacted him to find out where many of the items could be purchased for his own apartment.

Andrew said: “We designed for young professionals commuting into London – first-time buyers, second steppers or flat-sharers – as well as investors. So we wanted something light and airy, but also vibrant and modern to reflect the local café culture, restaurants and bars.

“The scheme has a white background with ‘pops’ of fashionable blue cobalt and striking burnt orange. We also made a feature of Eletis wall paper in the living room, which has a dappled, mosaic effect to give a 3D element to it.

“It was important to show how the open plan living area could be divided into zones, and also to offer design inspiration that’s within reach of buyers who want to make the most of a new blank canvas.”

Like the show home, every apartment at Westfield Waterside enjoys full-height glazing and a balcony or terrace. There is also underfloor heating, a concierge service, and a secure video entry system, plus the opportunity of up to 1 gigabyte Hyperoptic broadband.

Linden Homes South East managing director Darren Maddox said: “Westfield Waterside shines as an ideal base for making the most of London. Now, with the unveiling of the show apartment, property-hunters can experience the quality of the homes on offer too.

“The quality of the homes is matched by the popularity of the location. Earlsfield has caught the eye of young professionals, entrepreneurs and couples drawn by its connections and more realistic prices. But as with any up-and-coming area, we’re advising people not to delay or they’ll risk being left behind.”

The development of the vibrant and mixed location is reflected in an £8 million refurbishment of Earlsfield train station, plus the flourishing choice of new and established attractions such as markets, international cuisine and entertainment.

From the station, trains reach Waterloo in just 13 minutes, while from Southfields tube station the District line carries passengers east and west, as well as passing through Earl’s Court to link up with the Piccadilly line and its route through the heart of London.

Earlsfield Station services can also quickly drop shoppers into the heart of Wimbledon, Wimbledon Village and Kingston, in addition to connecting with Clapham Junction with its routes out into the country and the market town of Guildford, for example.
