Nightingale Park, Linden Homes’ development in Sarisbury Green, on the site of the old Coldeast Hospital, is proving to be a real draw for a wide range of buyers. The homes have sold very well and in the current phase, there are just four 3 bedroom homes remaining.
But it’s not just families that are showing interest in Nightingale Park: Tina Chalk is the marketing manager at Linden Homes Southern and says there is a broad spectrum of buyers at Nightingale Park:
“We have had a lot of interest in the homes here – several people have made use of the Help to Buy scheme*. We are also finding that some people are downsizing to move here too. They are leaving properties with high maintenance gardens and older homes in favour of the new energy efficient homes on offer at Nightingale Park. We’ve had buyers from the local area and others from London and further afield. The development clearly has wide appeal.”
Part of that appeal is the great location: Sarisbury Green is midway between Southampton and Fareham and less than a mile from the coast and the beautiful Hamble River. The 70 acre Holly Hill Woodland Park is on the doorstep and slopes down to the picturesque Hamble River.
To create a smoother move to this development, Linden Homes is offering its own Part Exchange Scheme*. If you decide to go ahead with Part Exchange, Linden Homes will buy your existing home from you (so you don’t have to deal with estate agents, or get involved with viewings) freeing you up to buy your new Nightingale Park home.
Help to Buy is also available at Nightingale Park. In March the Chancellor gave the Help to Buy scheme the go ahead to continue until 2020. The scheme is applicable on properties up to the value of £600,000 (other terms and conditions also apply). With Help to Buy you need just a 5 per cent deposit and you can borrow, in the form of an equity loan, 20% from the Government. That means you only need to secure a 75% mortgage from your bank or building society.
