Despite its own homely, community feel, Glen Parva is only four miles south of Leicester's bustling city centre, and therefore has excellent travel links to the city and well beyond. Glen Parva and its immediate surroundings are perfect for walkers and explorers. There are two nature reserves in the area: Glen Parva Nature Reserve and Glen Hills Nature Reserve. Additionally, the trail between Glen Parva Woodland through to Aylestone Meadows is a two-hour meander offering bird watching and fishing opportunities.
